Summary, etc. This thesis presents field measurements investigation of dynamic impact factor for old railway riveted steel truss bridges. Where a number of steel truss railway bridges have been static and dynamic load field tested. Also, this thesis presents analytical study of several parameters influencing the dynamic impact factor for railway steel truss bridges. Where locomotives speed, relative stiffness of the structural elements, and structural elements connections rigidity effect on the dynamic impact behavior have been investigated. In order to perform the previously mentioned parameters, a full scale three dimensional finite element models have been updated to simulate the already existing tested bridges{u2019} structural behavior. Field measurements results have been plotted on charts and tabled, and also the analytical study results have been plotted on charts for each of the studied steel truss railway bridges
