| Summary, etc. | This thesis presents a new approach for studying the effect of high pressure and high temperature variations on drilling fluid rheology and well hydraulics. This work shows the influence of using constant fluid properties (i.e independent on pressure/temperature conditions) on calculations of density and hydrostatic pressure, plastic viscosity and yield point, hydraulics, and surge pressure. Thesis also presented the effect of tool joint, cutting concentration, annular eccentricity and drill string rotation on ECD and pressure losses. Simulator {u2018}{u2019}HPHT MAT{u2019}{u2019} has been designed for optimizing of well hydraulics under high pressure and high temperature condition |
