Summary, etc. This study was designed to investigate the effect of two edentulous span lengths (7mm and 11mm) as well as the construction techniques (copy milling and machine milling) on the fracture resistance of monolithic zirconia inlay retained fixed partial dentures under cyclic loading. Material and methods: A total of 20 monolithic zirconia (Y-TZP) inlay retained fixed partial dentures were constructed using translucent zirconia and classified according to the construction technique machine milled and copy milled, and according to the span length into 7mm and 11mm. To standardize the inlay preparation, teeth were prepared and placed in the softened compound material with edentulous span length 7mm and impression has been taken and poured with high strength stone. Then, the same prepared teeth were placed at an edentulous span length 11mm and another impression was taken and poured with high strength stone. The IRFPDs were milled by CAD/CAM, and these same bridges were used as a model for tracing by the copy milling machine to mill the second group. Models were duplicated into epoxy resin model. The IRFPDs were cemented to their corresponding model before undergoing the fatigue tests. And All the IRFPDs were subjected to fracture resistance test under cyclic loading. Cyclic fatigue test at 5000 load cycles were determined by testing according to the modified "staircase" method, where tests were conducted sequentially, with the maximum applied load in each succeeding test being increased by a fixed amount, according to whether the previous load resulted in a failure or no failure. Since the specimen did not fail within the prescribed number (5000) of load cycles and the prescribed load, the load for the second specimen was increased by a fixed increment of 10% of static compressive load as reported from previous studies
