| Summary, etc. | Background: Endometrial adenocarcinoma are considered of the most common gyncolgical neoplasms. Efforts to reduce their high mortality rates are currently focused on multidisciplinary management, and considerable controversy has surrounded their management. Patients and methods: This study was a retrospective cohort study carried out on patients{u2019} files diagnosed with Endometrial adenocarcinoma between years 2008 to 2012. The study was carried out at the Medical Oncology Department of the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University. From the patients' records the following data were collected; Demographic data and medical history, results of physical examination, laboratory and radiological investigations, treatment modalities with its complications and outcomes. All these data were collected and statistically analyzed. Aim of work: Detection of Epidemiological, clinicopathological characteristics of all Endometrial adenocarcinoma cases. Evaluation of different treatment modalities, clinical response and outcomes of primary Endometrial adenocarcinoma cases in the form of overall survival & disease free survival. Results: This was a retrospective observational trial included 110 cases of all endometrial adenocarcinoma presented to or treated at NCI (from 2008 to 2012), 58 cases are full documented. All were histological confirmed and sub-typed. Conclusion: Most of Endometrial adenocarcinoma patients in this study present in early stage in the majority of cases, with variable survival rates according to demographic differences, performance status, staging, pathology and treatment modalities. Poor survival outcomes have been obtained from those with poor performance status, advanced stage, advanced age and those who have comorbidities |
