Summary, etc. |
Uveitis may be idiopathic, associated with systemic disease, or resulting from a variety of infectious agents. (Chang and Wakefield, 2002; Miserocchi et al., 2013) Major complications, such as cataracts, glaucoma, iris adhesion, and cystoid macular edema, are common among cases. (Al Dhahri et al., 2015) An important issue in uveitis practice is to recognize epidemiologic profiles and etiologies as such information is essential for specific diagnosis of uveitis and consequently its management. Clinical patterns vary in different populations depending on ethnic, environmental, and socioeconomic factors.Comparison of epidemiologic trends in uveitis between different geographic regions and populations allows us to better understand causes and natural history of the disease. There is only one available report to describe patterns of uveitis among Egyptian population |
