Background: Satisfaction has been used as an indicator of quality of care received in the health sector. Evaluation of patient satisfaction with physiotherapy care provides specific and objective feedback to clinicians about the services they provide. Objective: To evaluate the satisfaction level of patients with physical therapy services in outpatient clinics of faculty of physical therapy, Cairo University. Subjects: The study sample included 139 male and female patients selected from different physical therapy subspecialty outpatient clinics of faculty of physical therapy,Cairo UniversityMethods: A cross sectional study was conducted where a predesigned survey was distributed for patients from different out-clinics. The degree of patients' satisfaction with physical therapy services was evaluated using the MedRisk (MRPS) instrument which is a 13-items questionnaire that evaluates patients' experience about physical therapist, registration process and convenience of environment . Results: The results revealed that the overall satisfaction score mean value was 3.93 out of 5 according to MRPS. Also, the economic clinic patients were more satisfied than non-economic clinics ones (p < 0.05). Finally,there was no significant difference between males and females regarding overall satisfaction level (p = 0.2).Conclusion: Patients were moderately satisfied with physical therapy services in out-patient clinics of Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University |
