Summary, etc. Facing different kinds of unforeseen disruptions, resilient business enterprises do not depend totally on the traditional approaches of predicting and forecasting events. Instead, they continuously prepare themselves for unanticipated strategic disruptions with as many options as possible, so that when some of these disruptions hit, theywill be ready to respond and survive these disruptions.By learning from these resilient enterprises, other enterprises can redesign themselves to be resilient enterprises as well, capable of responding to their own strategic disruptions.Digital and emerging technologies have a profound impact on industries and business enterprises, by disrupting entire industries while enabling some enterprises to achieve exponential growth, at the same time digital and emerging technologies introduce new threats and opportunities to business enterprises. Business enterprises can leverage the trends of how digital and emerging technologies impact industries and business enterprises to effectively respond to strategic disruptions.Resilient systems including resilient business enterprises are designed based on resilience design principles. This thesis abstracts a set of resilience design principles by investigating and learning from resilient ecological and social systems. These resilience design principlescompose a set of generalizable insights for designing and developingresilient business enterprisescapable ofsurviving radical strategic disruptions.Facing strategic disruptions, resilient business enterprises are capable of formulating and executing effective resilience strategies to respond to the strategic disruptions they face. This thesis abstracts three resilience meta-strategies that resilient business enterprises use as foundation to formulate the specific resilience strategies to respond to their specific strategic disruptions. These resilience strategies leverage the trends of digital and emerging technologies
