| Summary, etc. | Background: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women. It accounts for 22% of all new cancer diagnoses and 7% of all cancer related deaths in women. HER2 overexpression was noted in approximately 30% of breast cancers and is associated with a more aggressive phenotype and poorer prognosis. HER2-positive breast cancer has seen tremendous progress over the last decade after development of trastuzumab as standard of care in advanced breast cancer (ABC) and early breast cancer (EBC).Trastuzumab-related cardio toxicity has been a concern seen in almost 28% of the patients, understanding the links between cancer treatments and cardiovascular disease becomes crucial for all medical practitioners. As cure rates improve,increasing priority can be given to optimising quality of life rather than focusing on prevention of cancer recurrence.Patients and Methods: This study is a retrospective study that aimed to assess the cardio toxicity incidence,pattern and the possible risk factors either patient or disease related in pathologically proven non metastatic human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER) type-2 positive breast cancers patients who were diagnosed, treated and followed up at medical oncology department, National Cancer Institute (NCI), Cairo University in the period from January 2015 to December 2018.
