Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Medicine - Department Of Urology Summary: In this work we studied the effect of drugs (desmopressin , oxybutynin , imipramine , and combined oxybutynin and desmopressin) in treatment of nocturnal enuresis with follow up for three months in patients aged 7 - 16 years who had never taken treatment for the conditionThe study revealed that the initial effect of desmopressin was dose related and was more than that of oxybutynin or imipramine , while combined oxybutynin and desmopressin was effective after failure of single drug usageOxybutynin was the most effective in cases with bladder instability by uroflowmetryRelapse rate after stoppage of treatment was high in all drugs
