Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Science - Department Of Biophysics Summary: The main objective of this thesis is to investigate the beam characteristics and mechanical accuracy through the radiation measurements and evaluate the effect of stereotactic irradiation technique in the treatment of patients with brain lesions to have the accurate dose plan optimization conform to target shapes and dose delivery.the determinations of the dosimetric data are taken using pinpoint and farmer type of ionization chamber and x - ray films.the variation in TMR is limited to less than 8 percent between the 12.5 - and 30.0 - mm
