Present work aims to assess the mineral composition and the geochemical characteristics of the silicified wood and fossilized bones which recently have been discovered in the Maadi-Qattamiya area Egypt.It aims also to evaluate the importance of the site as protected area and to identify the main threats and challenges with mitiating towards the anthropogenic hazards and development as a tourist site
