Dissertation note: Thesis (PH.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Medicine - Department Of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis Summary: To conclude , the three anti - inflammatory drugs used in this study have shown changes indicating their beneficial effect in asthma therapy It is recommended that BALF ICAM - 1 could be used in monitoring the effect of therapy Further studies are needed to elucidate the effect of short - acting beta agonists and other anti - inflammatory agents like anti - leukotrienes on BALF ICAM in bronchial asthma
