Ionizing radiation is known to generate reactive oxygen species(ROS)in irradiated organisns. In this study oxidative stress was induced by exposure of rats to fractionated whole body gamma rays.Ocimum sanctum hydroethanolic extract was supplemented orally to evaluate its antioxidant properties.Antioxidant parameters were investigated at 1st and 15th days post last radiation exposure in blood and liver samples
