In lifetime data analysis there is a growing interest in developing statistical methods for analyzing grouped data this is because of that the individual data is not always available for empirical estimation but often grouped data can be obtained.In this the estimation problem for the unknown parameters of the Burr type XII distribution based on grouped data with equi and unequi-spaced grouping was considered
