تهدف هذه الدراسة في تناولها للبحث في موضوع الحركات الدينية المسلحة وأثرها على مشكلة اللاجئين في إفريقيا لمحاولة فهم وفحص الدوافع التي تقف خلف حالات العنف الموصوفة بالدينية التي ظهرت في السياق الإفريقي، والكشف عن الدوافع المركبة والعوامل السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية المتشابكة التي تقف وراءها. وعليه نقدم من خلال هذه الدراسة بحثا عابراً للزمان والمكان في كل من أوغندا ونيجيريا للكشف عن دوافع نشوء ظاهرة الحركات الدينية المسلحة، والنظر في السياق التاريخي والسياسي والتأويلي لهذه الحركات والعنف المرتبط بها. ولا نُحاجج عبر هذه الدراسة بالبحث في العلاقة بين العنف والدين. بل اعمد عوضًا عن ذلك إلى تحليل الظروف السياسية، والبحث في تأثير استخدام الدين في الحيز السياسي في كلا الدولتين. لذا جاءت أهمية هذه الدراسة للتأكيد على أنه لا يوجد صراع يبني على اساس الدين فقط، بل إن الصراعات تحدث أساسًا لأسباب غير دينية. والنظر في قضية النزوح القسري الداخلي والعابر للحدود كأحد ابرز التداعيات الناتجة عن التفاعلات الصراعية للحركات الدينية المسلحة التي لا تقتصر تأثيراتها على البعد الوطني بل قد تمتد لتشمل الأبعاد الإقليمية والدولية أيضاً.

This study aims to understand the motives behind the cases of violence described as religious that appeared in the African context, and to reveal the complex motives and the interlocking political, economic and social factors behind them. Accordingly, the study presented a transient search of time and place in Uganda and Nigeria to reveal the motives for the emergence of the phenomenon of armed religious movements, and to consider the historical, political and interpretive context of these movements and the violence associated with them. We do not argue through this study by examining the relationship between violence and religion. Instead, I analyze the political conditions, and research the impact of the use of religion in the political space in both countries. Therefore, the importance of this study came to confirm that there is no conflict built on the basis of religion only, but rather that conflicts occur mainly for non-religious reasons. Considering the issue of internal and cross-border forced displacement as one of the most prominent repercussions resulting from the conflictual interactions of armed religious movements.
