Summary: تتناول هذه الدراسة موضوعًا من موضوعات علم اللغة، هو علم اللغويات المقارنة، من خلال مقارنة بعض الظواهر اللغوية بين اللغتين اليونانية واللاتينية اللتين تنتميان إلى أسرة اللغات الهندو-أوروبية، ومن ثم يمكن العودة إلى المصادر الاشتقاقية التي تتمثل هنا في الهندو-أوروبية الأولى. فهناك سمات ظلت كما هىمثلما وردت من اللغة الأم في كل من اللغتين اليونانية واللاتينية لتُظهر مدى التشابه بينهما، بالإضافة إلى التغيرات والتطورات والابتكارات في كل من الصياغة ومن الدلالة التي أوجدتها كل لغة على حدة، مع إمكانية تأثير اللغة اليونانية في اللغة اللاتينية. وقد وقع الاختيار-فيالتطبيق-على هسيودوس في قصيدته ”الأعمال والأيام” حيث إنها من بواكير الكتابات الأدبية اليونانية، وعلى بلاوتوس في مسرحيته ”الحبل”، حيث إنهدون أعماله باللغة اللاتينية القديمة، ومن ثم ظهرت عنده صيغ، سوف تخدم البحث في استنباط مدى تأثير اللغة اليونانية فياللغة اللاتينية. ونلاحظ أن العنصر التاريخي له الأولوية في إثبات مدى التغير في الخصائص المورفولوجية، وكذا في التطور الذي حدث من الهندو-أوروبية الأولى إلى اللغة اليونانية ومنها إلى اللغة اللاتينية.Summary: This study deals with comparative linguistics, and compares some linguistic phenomena in Greek and Latin, that belong to the rest of Indo-European languages. The study highlights the significance of the etymological sources in the Proto Indo-European languages, whose structures and formations have been restored by modern linguists. The study attempts to explore some features of the mother- tongue, which remain alive in both Greek and Latin. In addition to that, it endeavors to point out some features in each language that witnessed changes in form and semantics,and shows to what extent Greek has a manifest influence upon Latin. Our study is based on two texts, the didactic poem of Hesiod Works and Days, which is considered one of the older literary works written in Greek, and the play of PlautusThe Rope, written in old Latin. These two works are extensive in such phenomena, Hence, they help to achieve the hopeful results.
