تضمن هذا البحث موضوعاً هاماً من ضمن موضوعات قانون العقوبات في قسمه العام وهو تعدد الجرائم وأثره في العقوبات والإجراءات الجنائية، والذي تظهر الحاجة لقواعده بصورة مستمرة في القانون الجنائي، فلقد اختلفت عنده التشريعات وتقاطعت فيه آراء الفقه ونقضت بسببه العديد من الأحكام القضائية. وحاولنا في هذا البحث معالجة ما يثار من إشكالات قانونية على الصعيد الموضوعي والإجرائي، وأظهرنا مدى الأهمية التي يختص بها تعدد الجرائم سواء كان تعدداً مادياً حقيقياً أو تعدداً صورياً في المجال الجنائي على المستوى النظري والعملي. فالعقوبة بحسب النص القانوني تكون هي العقوبة الأشد المقررة للجرائم المرتكبة، وهي التي تبنتها أغلب التشريعات وقررتها لمن يرتكب عدة جرائم، وقد تكون حكمة المشرع من وراء ذلك إما لأن هذه الجرائم ناتجة عن فعل واحد أو لوجود ارتباط بينها وبين العقوبات الأخف مع الأشد.

This research included an important topic among the topics of the Penal Code in its general section, which is the multiplicity of crimes and its impact on penalties and criminal procedures, which the need for its rules constantly appears in criminal law.
In this research, we have tried to address the legal problems that arise at the substantive and procedural levels, and we have shown the extent of the importance of the plurality of crimes, whether it is a real material plurality or a fictitious plurality in the criminal field at the theoretical and practical levels.
The punishment according to the legal text is the most severe punishment prescribed for the committed crimes, and it is adopted by most of the legislations and decided for those who commit several crimes, and the wisdom of the legislator may be behind that either because these crimes result from a single act or because there is a link between them and the lighter and more severe punishments.
