This study provides an analysis of the most important demographic, Socio-economic determinants of the women empowerment in Egypt and their relationship to empowering women by addressing these characteristics depending on descriptive and inferential analysis. The methods of analysis are factor analysis and the Multinominal logistic regression model in addition to the descriptive analysis, given the nature of the dependent variable which represents the levels of women empowerment. It was necessary to build an index for women empowerment, which is the dependent variable by entering the independent variables which measure woman’s participation of household decision-making, some demographic and socio-economic characteristics in a two- stage factor analysis and extracting the index in its final form. After building the index, different relationships were investigated between the index and the social, economic and demographic characteristics of the women, and it was clear that the most significant characteristics were (The women’s opinion justifying hitting or punishing his wife if she goes out without the husband’s permission, type of earning, women’s, level of education, person who responsible for the decision of family visits, wealth index, person who responsible for the family planning decision, respectively) .The next stage of the analysis is to consider women empowerment index as a dependent variable in a multinomial logistic regression model to identify the determinants influencing women empowerment. The women’s empowerment index showed that, there are 19.5% of women representing of low level in empowerment, while found 76.1% representing of medium level of empowerment, and only 4.4% representing the high level of the empowerment index. Finally the study introduced some recommendations suchasgiving more attention to women, especially in rural areas, where the analysis showed a difference in levels of empowerment between women who reside in the countryside and those who reside in urban areas, paying attention to all age groups without discrimination, as the analysis showed that there is no significant difference in the relationship between the evidence of women’s empowerment and the age of the husband Or the woman, setting mechanisms and programs aimed at the actual empowerment
