اقتضت حكمة الله تعالى أن يتباين الناس في مستويات إدراكهـم وتفكيرهم، وأفـضى هذا إلى الخـلاف والتنازع وظهور الآراء والمذاهب.
وتسبَّب هذا في ظهور مجموعة من وسائل تبيين الحق والدعوة إليه، التي من أشهرها أسلوب الحوار والمناظرات.
وقد حوت كتب التراجم والطبقات في طياتها كثيرًا من كنوز العقول؛ ذلك أن كثيرًا من الحجج الكلامية لم تخرج إلى النور بعدُ إلا عن طريق الوسائل التقليدية المتمثلة في حجج علماء الكلام أنفسهم.
ولما كان غيرهم شاركهم في الاحتجاج لهذه القضايا كان الوقوف على هذه الحجج من الروافد الجديدة لعلم الكلام.
والمناظرة لكونها محاورة بين فريقين أو ممارسة حوارية، هي تَخاطَب يقتضي موضوعًا مشتركًا ولغة مشتركة تفضي إلى تواصل ينتصر فيه الرأي القوي حجة وبرهانًا، ما لم يكن هناك عوامل أخرى خارجية قلبت موازين الأمور.

The wisdom of God Almighty required that people differ in their levels of perception and thinking, and this led to disagreement and conflict and the emergence of opinions and doctrines.
This caused the emergence of a group of means of clarifying the truth and calling for it, the most famous of which is the method of dialogue and debates.
The books of translations and classes contain many treasures of minds. This is because many theological arguments have not yet come to light except through the traditional means represented by the arguments of the theologians themselves.
And since others participated with them in protesting these issues, standing on these arguments was one of the new tributaries of theology.
Debate, because it is a dialogue between two teams or a dialogue practice, is a discourse that requires a common topic and a common language that leads to communication in which strong opinion prevails as argument and proof, unless there are other external factors that upset the balance of matters.
The problems of this research can be expressed in the following main question:
Did the verbal debates contained in the books of biographies and classes contribute to solving the verbal issues in which there is disagreement? How did you contribute?
I made this research chapters; In order for each chapter to indicate what I have chosen and counted from accurate sciences, it leads to the impact of these verbal debates: Chapter One: Debates related to divinity, Chapter Two: Debates related to divine attributes, Chapter Three: Debates related to the issue of the creation of the Qur’an, Chapter Four: Debates related to transmission and reason, and chapter The fifth: debates about destiny, the sixth chapter: the debates about Islam and faith, and the seventh chapter: the statistical study of verbal debates.
Then the most important results, and proven by sources and references and index of contents.
