Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.)-Cairo University, 2022. Summary: This study was carried out to assess the marginal gap and internal fit of provisional crowns which were fabricated by horizontal 3D printing technique (intervention) compared to provisional crowns which were fabricated by vertical 3D printing technique (control). According to the sample size calculation, a total of thirty-two crowns were constructed which were divided into two equal groups, sixteen samples for each group according to the technique of construction. Group (I): Sixteen crowns (n=16) fabricated by vertical 3D printing technique (control). Group (II): Sixteen crowns (n=16) fabricated by horizontal 3D printing technique (Intervention). Dentoform model of maxillary 1st molar was prepared according to the following criteria: 2 mm occlusal reduction, 1.5 mm overall axial reductions. The prepared model was scanned using Medit T-300 scanner. Duplication of master die into thirty two epoxy resin dies through using silicone duplicating material and then divided into two equal group (n=16). Provisional crowns were designed using Exocad software. STL file was produced and sent to Formlabs printer. The provisional crowns were printed using the formlabs form2 printer using Next dent C&B PMMA resin material. Each specimen was photographed using USB Digital microscope A digital image analysis system was used to measure and qualitatively evaluate the gap width. Measurement at each point was repeated five times. Internal discrepancy was measured by a replica technique. Each tooth was filled with light-body silicone and inserted into under a constant load (750 g) for 10 min, by means of a modified parallelometer. Then the data obtained were collected, tabulated and then subjected to statistical analysis. The following results were obtained Summary: تم تحضير ضرس من الاسنان الصناعيه تمثل الضرس الاول للفك العلوى طبقا لممعايير و القياسات المتفق عمييا لتركيبات المؤقتة الكامله ثم تم عمل اثنان وثلاثون نسخه طبق الاصل من الضرس الصناعي باستخدام ماده ا لراتنجات الايبوكسي بواسطو ماده السيلكون للمطابقه. تم عمل مسح ضوئي للضرس الصناعي باستخدام ماسح ضوئي من النوع المستخدم خارج الفم ثم تم تصميم التيجان المؤقتة باستخدام برنامج اكزوكاد تم إنتاج ملف الرقمي وارساله إلى آلة الطابعة فورملاب تم طباعة التيجان المؤقتة باستخدام طابعة فورملاب باستخدام مادة نيكست دينت راتينج . تم تصوير كل عينة باستخدام مجهر الرقمي. تم استخدام نظام تحليل الصور الرقمي لقياس عرض الفجوة وتقييمه نوعياً. تكرر القياس في كل نقطة خمس مرات. تم قياس التناقض الداخلي بتقنية طبق الأصل. تم حشو كل سن بجسم خفيف من السيليكون وإدخاله تحت حمولة ثابتة (750 جم) لمدة 10 دقائق ، عن طريق مقياس مواز معدل. ثم جمعت البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها وجدولتها ثم خضعت للتحليل الإحصائي.
