Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D)-Cairo University, 2023. Summary: Sixty patients of both genders with age ranged from 25-55 years with themal burn injury(second degree)were recruited from burn department of Hehia Hospital and randomly assigned into two groups; experimental group (A), received laser puncture, and control group (B), received the routine medical treatment. Pre- and post-treatment assessment using Wound measurement – working out surface area in cm² and Complete blood cell counts (Neutrophils, total lymphocytes ) were done for all patients. Results: Using paired T-test showed statistically significant difference (P<0.05) between pre-and post-treatment for group (A) and (B), The percent of change in wound surface area, neutrophils and lymphocytes in group A was 53.09, 10.79 and 84.16% respectively, while that in group B was 33.57, 5.48 and 60.6% respectively. The unpaired T-test revealed that there were statistical significant difference between group (A) and (B) in post-treatment measurements of wound surface area, neutrophils and lymphocytes (P<0.05). Conclusion: Laserpuncture may be an effective technique on immune system and wound healing in burned patients.
