Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc .) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Zoology Summary: In Egypt, family corbiculidea(Gray,1847) is only represented by genus Corbicula(Muhnfield,1811).In the present study,two species of this genus are concerned,C. fluminea (muller,1774) and C. fluminalis (Muller,1774),which show some confusion in their taxonomical conflict,C. fluminea and C. fluminalis were collected from the River Nile at Elwarrak(Giza governorate) and Geziret Eldahab(Cairo governorate)regions,Egypt,from December 2005 to November 2006
