إن الشعور بالحاجة إلى التراث كأسانيد فنية واللجوء إليها في مجال الفنون التشكيلية لمواكبة حركة التحرر الفكري تدعو للبحث عن مقومات الحركات الفنية والتراث الفني الذي مر عبر العصور، والكشف عن أنماط فنية ظهرت منذ فترات بعيدة من الزمن, وكثيراً ما يتعذر علينا الاستفادة منها واستخدام مقوماتها فى الإنتاج الفنى، فيقف تفهمنا لها عند حد التذوق أو إستنباط قشور منها، ومن هذه الفنون الشعبية اليدوية (النسيج، الحصير، الأزياء، الفخار،..) والتي مارسها الإنسان في الحياة اليومية، والفنان الشعبى بصفة خاصة على مر العصور، قد شهد النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين تغيرات وتطورات فى شتى المجالات بما فيها الفنون التشكيلية، و تبع ذلك تغييراً شاملاً في أساليب التعامل مع تلك التغيرات بما يلبي متطلبات العصر والاتجاه الجارف نحو التجديد والتطوير فى ظل العولمة والانفتاح على العالم الذي أدى إلى إختلاط الثقافات، ومن ذلك الحين إتجهت الدعوة إلى تأكيد الشخصية المصرية في الفن التشكيلي .

تتحدد مشكلة الدراسة فى الإجابة على السؤال الرئيسى التالى :
كيف يمكن الاستفادة من فكر وفلسفة المندالا لإبتكار مشغولة نسيجية معاصرة ؟
وقد استخدمت الدراسة مناهج البحث التالية :
• المنهج الوصفي التحليلى في بناء الإطار النظري .
• المنهج التجريبي في بناء الإطار التطبيقي .
إحتوت الرسالة على خمسة فصول على النحو التالى :
الفصل الأول : مقدمة البحث ، مشكلة البحث ، أهداف البحث ، أهمية البحث ، فروض البحث ، حدود البحث ، منهج وإجراءات البحث ، المصطلحات المرتبطة بالبحث ، الدراسات المرتبطة .
الفصل الثانى : تمهيد ، ماهية المندالا ، نشأة المندالا وتطورها ، المندالا ونظرية الرموز الأولية ، النظم البنائية للمندالا فى الطبيعة ، النظم الرياضية والهندسية وعلاقتها بالمندالا ، تطور المندالا عبر العصور ، عرض وتحليل لمجموعة من أعمال الفنانين العالميين والمحليين ، فكر وفلسفة المندالا النسجية .
الفصل الثالث : تمهيد ، النسيج اليدوى ، العوامل المؤثرة على فكر وفلسفة المندالا النسجية وتضم العوامل الفنية التشكيلية والتى تنقسم إلى : عناصر التصميم ، أسس التصميم وكذلك العوامل التطبيقية وتنقسم إلى : الخامات النسجية ، الوسائط تشكيلية ، التراكيب والتقنيات النسجية ، الأساليب التقنية النسجية ، التقنيات النسجية اليدوية الزخرفية .
الفصل الرابع : التمهيد ، أهداف التجربة ، ومحاورها ، وخطواتها ، ومكان إجراءها ، و المدى الزمنى لها ، و الخامات والأدوات المستخدمة .
الفصل الخامس : وفيه عرضت الباحثة تحكيم الأعمال من خلال استمارة تقييم الأعمال النسجية بالإضافة إلى تحليل النتائج إحصائياً وصولاً إلى المراجع باللغة العربية واللغة الأجنبية بالإضافة إلى ملاحق البحث .
 

The research consists of five chapters, which are as follows:
Chapter one: the research problem and its procedures:
It Includes: Introduction to the research, research problem, research objectives, importance of research, research hypotheses, research limits, research methodology and procedures and includes:
• First: the theoretical framework .
• Second: the practical framework
o Terms related to research, related studies.
Chapter Two : The thought and philosophy of the mandalas and their impact on the textile work
It includes: a preface, the nature of the mandala, the origin and development of mandalas, mandalas and the theory of elementary symbols, the structural systems of the mandala in nature, the mathematical and geometric systems and their relationship to the mandala, the development of mandalas through the ages, presentation and analysis of a group of works by international and local artists, the thought and philosophy of mandalas.
Chapter Three : Plastic formulations and applied factors for the textile mandala
It includes: paving, hand weaving, factors affecting the thought and philosophy of the textile mandala, and it includes plastic arts factors, which are divided into: design elements, design foundations as well as applied factors, and they are divided into: textile materials, plastic media, textile structures and techniques, textile technical methods, textile techniques decorative handmade .
Chapter Four: Research Experiment Procedures and Steps
It includes: the preamble, the objectives of the experiment, the axes of the experiment, the steps of the experiment, the place of conducting the experiment, the time period of the experiment, the materials and tools used to implement the experiment, such as materials for the design process, materials for the implementation process, steps of the experiment, stage objectives, and the educational medium. And the sequence of student interviews, down to the students' textile works.
Chapter Five:
In it, the researcher presented the arbitration of works through the textile works evaluation form, in addition to analyzing the results statistically, in order to reach the references in Arabic and foreign languages, in addition to the appendices of the research, which include:
- A questionnaire to survey the opinion on the validity of the items of the mandala measurement standard related to the applied side.
- Names of the expert professors participating in the opinion poll on the design of the tissue mandala evaluation form.
- Names of the expert professors involved in evaluating the mandala form.
- Textile work evaluation form for the research sample for the applied aspect.
