يعتبر التعليم الفني عنصر أساسي للتنمية الحقيقة في مصر ومصدر أساسي لإمداد سوق العمل بالعمالة اللازمة والمدربة بدقة ومهارة وأكدت وزارة التربية والتعليم الفني، أن تطوير التعليم الفني، يتم من خلال ربط التخصصات باحتياجات سوق العمل والصناعة، وتوفير القوي البشرية المؤهلة علميا وعمليا بمهارات وقدرات ومعارف وخبرات تتزايد الحاجة عليها دوما لتطوير المجتمع وملاحقة التغيرات الحديثة.
وقد أستهدف هذا البحث تطوير التعليم الفني الفندقي في ضوء مدخل الكفايات وذلك من وجهة نظر رجال الصناعة، والتعرف على اوجه القصور في اكتساب الكفايات المهارية والمعرفية المختلفة.
واستخدم البحث المنهج الأثنوجرافي وهو أحد الأبحاث الكيفية ، ويستخدم للوصف أو التفسير أو التقويم لظواهر معينة واعتمد البحث الحالي على مقابلتين واستبانتين لجمع البيانات واستجلاء آراء خبراء سوق العمل العاملين بالفنادق والمطاعم السياحية والطلاب الخريجين الملتحقين بسوق العمل والطلاب الذين لازالوا في الدراسة وبلغ عدد أفراد العينة 25 فرد من رجال الصناعة و 100 طالب من الخريجين ومن يزالوا بالدراسة .
وقد أسفر هذا البحث عن مجموعة من النتائج التي تتركز في وجود بعض المعوقات التي تواجه هؤلاء الطلاب خلال فترة الدراسة ، فضلاً عن وجود نواحي قصور في تنفيذ منظومة التعليم الجديدة في الفترة الحالية ، وانتهى البحث إلى وضع تصور مقترح لتطوير التعليم الفني الفندقي لكي يتم الربط بينه وبين وسوق العمل وهذا هو الهدف المنشود الذي تسعي اليه جميعا لتحقيق المصالح العامة للجميع .

Technical education is an essential aspect for real development in Egypt and an essential source of supplying the labor market with the necessary and trained labor accurately and skillfully The Ministry of Technical Education confirmed that the development of technical education is done by linking disciplines to the needs of the labor market and industry, and providing scientifically and practically qualified manpower with skills, capabilities, knowledge and experiences that are always needed to develop society and keep pace with modern changes.
This research aimed at developing hotel technical education in the light of the competencies required to work approach from the point of view of industrialists to identify the shortcomings in the acquisition of various skill and knowledge competencies.
The research used (ethnographic) approach which is one of the qualitative research, also is used to describe, interpret or evaluate certain phenomena . The current research relied on two interviews and two questionnaires for collecting data and clarify the views of labor market experts working in hotels and tourist restaurants and graduate students enrolled in the labor market and students who are still undergraduate. The number of sample participants were (25) participant from industrialists and (100) students of graduates and those who are still studying.
The current research has yielded a set of results that are concentrated on the presence of some of the obstacles facing these students during the study period. As well as the existence of shortcomings in the implementation of the new education system in the current period .The research recommended to developing a program for development of
