Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) -Cairo University, 2023. Summary: The TiNbZrNiCoFeBx HEAs are manufactured by the vacuum arc melting method. The B element was added by 5.3 at.% and 10.6 at.% to casted TiNbZrNiCoFe HEA. The effect of B additions on the mechanical properties and microstructure of cast TiNbZrNiCoFe HEA was investigated. The optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive x-ray analysis (EDX), and mapping for elemental distribution were investigated for microstructure examination. From the results, TiNbZrNiCoFeB5.3 HEA has the most homogenous microstructure obtained by the casting method. The effect of the addition of B on the phase’s formation was studied by x-ray diffraction (XRD), From XRD results, there are five phases with B as BNi2, NbB2, Ti3B4, TiB12, and ZrB which strengthen the HEAs. The mechanical properties such as hardness and wear were investigated. In addition, Young’s modulus at room temperature was studied by the pulse-echo method at a 5 MHz frequency. The addition of 5.3 at.%B enhances the mechanical properties of TiNbZrNiCoFe HEA. However, the mechanical properties of the addition of 10.6 at.%B are the highest but it has a segregation of phases that impeded the choice of this addition to be a remarkable effect on TiNbZrNiCoFe HEA. Summary: تم دراسة تأثير إضافات البورون على الخواص الميكانيكية للسبائك العالية الانتروبى TiNbZrNiCoFe المصبوبة بطريقة الصهر بالقوس الكهربى. وتمت إضافة العنصر البورون بمقدار 5.3 و 10.6 ٪ بالوزن الذرى إلى السبائك العالية الانتروبى المصبوبة TiNbZrNiCoFe. كما تم قياس معامل الاجهاد بطريقة صدى النبضة بتردد 5 ميجاهرتز وفي درجة حرارة الغرفة والصلابة والبرى و تحليل الاطوار والبنية المجهرية باستخدام الميكرسكوب الضوئى والبنية المجهرية وتحليل العناصر وتوزيعها باستخدام الميكرسكوب الالكترونى الماسح. ولوحظ أن السبائك المضاف اليها وزن ذرى 5.3% من البورن لها بنية مجهرية أكثر تجانسًا بواسطة طريقة الصهر بالقوس الكهربى. ووجد أن إضافة بورون 5.3.٪ بالوزن الذرى يعزز الخواص الميكانيكية.

تم دراسة تأثير إضافات البورون على الخواص الميكانيكية للسبائك العالية الانتروبى TiNbZrNiCoFe المصبوبة بطريقة الصهر بالقوس الكهربى. وتمت إضافة العنصر البورون بمقدار 5.3 و 10.6 ٪ بالوزن الذرى إلى السبائك العالية الانتروبى المصبوبة TiNbZrNiCoFe. كما تم قياس معامل الاجهاد بطريقة صدى النبضة بتردد 5 ميجاهرتز وفي درجة حرارة الغرفة والصلابة والبرى و تحليل الاطوار والبنية المجهرية باستخدام الميكرسكوب الضوئى والبنية المجهرية وتحليل العناصر وتوزيعها باستخدام الميكرسكوب الالكترونى الماسح. ولوحظ أن السبائك المضاف اليها وزن ذرى 5.3% من البورن لها بنية مجهرية أكثر تجانسًا بواسطة طريقة الصهر بالقوس الكهربى. ووجد أن إضافة بورون 5.3.٪ بالوزن الذرى يعزز الخواص الميكانيكية.
