This study aimed to extend storage life and ripening of two avocado fruit cultivars (Hass and Fuerte) besides keeping good fruit quality and reducing external damage by some post harvest applications (cold storage , modified atmosphere and hot water treatments) Fruit age , dry matter percent and oil content were the better indices for determining maturity of Hass and Fuerte avocado fruits
