Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) Cairo University, 2023. Summary: Giant cell tumor of tendon sheath of the hand is the second most common benign tumor after ganglion cyst. The aim of this study is to evaluate 23 cases of giant cell tumor of tendon sheath of the hand and to analyze the postoperative oncological outcome and functional outcome . Recurrence occured in 3 (13%) of the patients . Magnetic resonance imaging is a diagnostic tool defining the location, extension, of the lesion and managing the preoperative planning . Treatment of GCTTS involves marginal excision to limit articular destruction and the risk of recurrence. Summary: ورم الخلية العملاقة لغمد الأوتار في اليد هو ثاني أكثر الأورام الحميدة شيوعًا بعد الكيس العقدي. الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تقييم 23 حالة من ورم الخلايا العملاقة في غمد الوتر في اليد وتحليل نتائج الأورام بعد الجراحة والنتائج الوظيفية. حدث ارتجاع للورم في 3 (13٪) من المرضى. التصوير بالرنين المغناطيسي هو أداة تشخيصية لتحدد موقع الورم وامتداده وإدارة التخطيط قبل اجراء الجراحة . يعتبر التدخل الجراحى باستئصال الورم من حوافه هو افضل علاج لتقليل امكانية تدمير المفصل وخطر عودة الورم مره اخرى
