Strain AK71 , isolated from Egyptian fermented milk and identified as enterococcus faecalis , produced a 4000 Da bacteriocin - like compound with inhibitory activity , 51200 , 3200 and 800 AU ml against enterococcus faecalis 90519 , staphylococcus aureus 91161 , and serratia marcescens 98027 respectively
