Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) -Cairo University, 2023. Summary: Planning industrial cities led to maximize the productivity without considering the adverse effects of planning on the users from an environmental, social, and aesthetic aspect. Therefore, there is a reduction in open areas due to the rapid rise of cities. Open spaces in Egyptian cities, in general, and industrial cities, in particular, have become neglected or ineffective spaces. As a result, industrial cities required defined regulations, and principles for open spaces. The research studied the term ''open spaces'' and their impact on the industrial city. And analyzed international experiences to determine the most significant principles for planning open spaces in industrial cities. By analyzing the theoretical parts of the study and observing the data from the international cases in the practical part, the study explores the potential for creative planning. These principles are integrated set of guidelines that take into account functional, social, environmental, and aesthetic aspects.
