High-silicon and molybdenum (SiMo) ductile iron is a standard heat-resistant alloy, so it is very important to know about their behavior under different operation conditions. The current work aims to study the effect of Mo contents on microstructure, thermodynamic calculations, hardness, and wear and corrosion performance. The wear behavior, as one of the mechanical properties that have not been studied for SiMo ductile iron, was examined to thoroughly understand the wear behavior at different temperatures up to 750℃. In addition, the corrosion behavior was studied in different corrosive media. Finally, the obtained results show that adding molybdenum to ductile iron alloy improves its resistance to corrosion and increases high-temperature wear performance. Hence, SiMo has the potential to be an alternative in wider applications that require resistance to corrosion and high-temperature wear.
إن حديد الزهر المرن الذى يحتوى على تركيزات عاليه من السيليكون والموليبدينوم (SiMo) هو سبيكة شائعة مقاومة للحرارة ، تستخدم في التطبيقات ذات درجات الحرارة العالية مثل مشعبات العادم في صناعة السيارات ، ومكونات التوربينات الغازية ، وقوالب صب التيتانيوم ، والنحاس الأصفر ، وسبائك الزنك ، وحوامل ، وعناصر الأفران للمعالجة الحرارية.اثناء استخدام سبائك SiMo فى درجات الحراره العاليه ونتيجة وجود العديد من الظروف البيئية المسببة للتآكل قد تتعرض للبري الميكانيكي الكيميائي. ولذلك تم دراسه تاثير محتوى السيليكون بنسبة 5٪ ومحتويات الموليبدينوم بتركيزات تتراوح من 0 إلى 1.5٪ على خواص السبيكه محل الدراسه.
