Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc)-Cairo University, 2023. Summary: The types of turf irrigation devices are available to meet the landscape requirements. Therefore, choosing a suitable device is an important part of landscape irrigation. Uniformity of water distribution, water use rationalization and total costs are the main concerns for the design and management of turf irrigation systems in Egypt. This research aim was to evaluate the performance of spray sprinklers and rotor sprinklers on the distribution uniformity of soil moisture content and water use efficiency of turf grass (Paspalum Vaginatum) a warm-season turf, it is the common type cultivated in North Africa, under three types of irrigation water (groundwater, domestic water and treated water). The field experiment was executed in sandy soil, in three close locations (The distance between the nearest location to the farthest location is about 15 km) to each other. They are located on Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, Giza Governorate, during the 2022 season. The results indicated that the rotor sprinkler's performance was better in the low quarter distribution uniformity (DUlq) than that of spray sprinklers and they were similar in coefficient of uniformity (CU). The average soil moisture content for the rotor sprinkler after irrigation was higher than that for the spray sprinkler. The growth rate of grass for the rotor sprinkler was higher than the spray sprinkler in all irrigation treatments. The growth rate of grass by using treated irrigation water was higher than domestic and ground irrigation water. The capital cost rate of using a rotor sprinkler was less than using a spray sprinkler in irrigation water by about 50%. The operation cost rate of using a rotor sprinkler was less than using a spray sprinkler in irrigation water by about 10-20 % according to the water quality.Summary: نظرا لمحدوديه موارد مصر المائية ونتيجة للتمدد العمرانى فى الأونه الاخيرة ومن ثم زيادة مساحات اللاندسكيب بشكل ملحوظ ، وبما ان النجيلة الطبيعيه تمثل الارضية الرئيسية لمساحات اللاندسكيب لذلك كان الهدف من البحث هو الوصول لأفضل نظام رى للنجيلة الطبيعية مع افضل نوعية مياة ملائمة للرى. لذلك فإن هدف البحث هو تقييم اداء الرشاشات القفازية لرى النجيل من النوع الرذاذى مقارنة بالرشاشات القفازية من النوع الدوار تحت تأثير ثلاث انواع مياة مختلفة وهى المياه الجوفية و المياه المعالجة ومياه الشرب المحلية وكان التقييم من حيث معدلات الترسيب و الانتظامية ودراسة الشبكة هيدرورليكيا والمحتوى الرطوبى ومعدلات نمو النجيلة (Paspalum Vaginatum ) وكفاءة استخدام المياة لهذ النوع من النجيلة المذكور . وقد اجريت التجربة الميدانية خلال موسم 2022 ميلاديا فى محافظة الجيزة وتقع المواقع الثلاث على طريق مصر اسكندرية الصحراوى .
