يتمثل الإسهام الرئيس لهذه الدراسة في تحليل دور وزارة السياحة والآثار في صنع السياسات العامة الرمزية عن طريق المتاحف وما تلعبه من دور في تنمية وتعزيز وَعْي وانتماء المواطن المصري، الأمر الذي يتطلب الاهتمام بهذا الموضوع لما له من تأثير على المجتمع المصري. وقد سعت الدراسة إلى الإجابة على التساؤل البحثي الرئيس حول مدى أهمية الدور الذي تلعبه وزارة السياحة والآثار في زيادة كفاءة وفعالية السياسات العامة الرمزية. واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج البنائي الوظيفي ومنهج تحليل الوثائق، للتعرف على دور وزارة السياحة والآثار في السياسات العامة الرمزية التي تصنعها لزيادة وَعْي المواطن المصري. وقام الباحث بدراسة ميدانية وإجراء مقابلات مع كلاً من العاملين بقطاع المتاحف، والعاملين بالمتحف المصري بالتحرير، والمواطنين الزائرين للمتحف المصري بالتحرير، وذلك لاستطلاع الآراء حول مدى أهمية المتاحف والبرامج الثقافية والتعليمية التي تقوم بها لزيادة وَعْي المواطن المصري. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن صنع السياسات العامة الرمزية داخل وزارة السياحة والآثار من الأشياء الهامة التي تقوم بها الوزارة في التنمية المجتمعية، حيث تعتبر المتاحف أحد أهم السياسات العامة الرمزية التي تستخدمها وزارة السياحة والآثار في تعزيز الوَعْي الوطني. وأوصت الدراسة باستمرار الدولة في تقديم الدعم المادي والفكري لجميع الفئات داخل المجتمع المصري، بالإضافة إلى ضرورة اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لضمان حماية وتعزيز المتاحف من خلال دعمها وتطويرها المستمر، ووضع رؤية مستقبلية للمتاحف من خلال استراتيجيات التنمية المستدامة بما يعمل على زيادة المشاركة المجتمعية

The main contribution of this study is to analyze the role of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in making symbolic public policies through museums and the role they play in developing and enhancing the awareness and belonging of the Egyptian citizen. This requires attention to this topic because of its impact on Egyptian society. The study sought to answer the main research question about the importance of the role played by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of symbolic public policies.
The study used the structural-functional approach and the document analysis approach, to identify the role of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in the symbolic public policies in increasing the awareness of the Egyptian citizen. The researcher conducted a field study and conducted interviews with employees in the museum sector, employees of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, and citizens visiting the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, in order to explore opinions about the importance of museums and the cultural and educational programs they carry out to increase the awareness of the Egyptian citizen.
The study concluded that making symbolic public policies within the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is one of the important things that the Ministry does in community development, as museums are considered one of the most important symbolic public policies used by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to enhance national awareness.
The study recommended that the state continue to provide financial and intellectual support to all groups within Egyptian society, in addition to the need to take the necessary measures to ensure the protection and enhancement of museums through their continuous support and development, and to develop a future vision for museums through sustainable development strategies in a way that works to increase community participation
