The boundary scan technique doesn{u2019}t have the ability to address the differential and AC coupled circuits due to the requirements of AC test signal and also the test signal detection based on edge detection. For that purpose , the IEEE 1149.6 standard was developed. In this work , a study of this Standard is accomplished and a case study of LVDS circuit is used to verify the efficiency of the standard from the side of fault detection and diagnosis , by applying the standard to the Circuit Under Test and analyzing the simulation results of the both fault - free and faulty cases for different kinds of faults.
