Continuous thoracic paravertebral block proved to be an effective method in the mangement of pain in patients with unilateral multiple fracture ribs , moreover it proved to be superior to the use of systemic analgesia via patient controlled a nalgesia (PCA) as it improves respiratory parameters and arterial blood gas tension in these patients
