In this study we examined the effects of preemptive epidural neostigmine morphine versus epidural morphine in lumbar disc surgery. The study showed that combining neostigmine to morphine prolonged the duration of postoperative analgesia without additional side effects. Furthermore adding epidural meostigmine to morphine may decrease incidence of urine retention frequently observed with epidural morphine regarding 1L-6, adding epidural neostigmine to morphine doesn`t significantly decrease its intra and postoperative levels than using morphine only
