In order to control its release, diltiazem hydrochloride (highly soluble drug) was formulated as effervescent floating granules prepared using different polymers like eudragit S100, L100, RS100,RL100, in D/P ratio 1:3, 1:5 and 1:7, Also 1:1 1:3, 1:5 and 1:7 were the D/P ratios used for granules prepared using ethylcellulose and lipophilic matrices as: beeswax and carnauba wax
