Thesis (Ph.D) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Agricultural Biochemistry
Two chitinolytic bacterial candidates were isolated from mango tree rhizosphere and mature compost, after which they were purified. The isolates were identified as streptomyces sparsogenes and streptomyces nigrifaciens, respectively. Optimization of growth conditions on 250ml shaker flask test in 50ml medium at 150 rpm was accomplished to obtain the highest chitinolytic activity
