Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Institute of African Research and Studies - Department of Natural Resources Summary: The present work is mainly concerned with studing the petrography and geochemistry of uranium mineralization associated with fluorite in some of its Gabal gattar occurrences as well as in Hammamat sediments that are in contact. Several representative surface and sub surface samples have thus been collected from fresh and altered sites and were subjected to petrographical investigations as well as chemical analysis for their major and trace elements using the proper different techniques
