The Egyptian black sand is found along the north coast. It has several economic minerals. Ilmenite is the main mineral of economic minerals in Egyptian black sand . The ilmenite ore is low grade because it has less than 50% TiO2 and relatively high content of Cr2O2 and V2O5 treatment of ilmenite by smelting process is highly recommended
