Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Mathematics Summary: In this work we solve uncoupled problems in the theory of magneto- elasticity and thermo- magneto- elasticity by a Boundary Integral Method for infinite cylinders in ellipitic coordinates and in bipolar coordinates. We consider an ellipitical cylinder carrying a steady axial uniform electric current and we study the effect the ambient temperature and the internal temperature due to Joule heat upon the temperature of the cylilnder and the displacement vector components
