In this thesis a new method is being developed called general heuristic gradient projection (GHGP) .It is used as a direct searcher hor the size optimization of a structure . And the golden section is used for the deflection constraint . The technique may experience some zigzagging due to its iterative nature but still can be fairly compared to the different previous versions
