HCV infections is associated with increased common carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) and caroid-artery plaques in some but all studies. the aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection clearance of HCV and atherosclerosis. It was founf that chronic HCV is associated with favourable lipid profil (significant lower serum levels of total cholesterol TGs and LDL-c)
