The objective of this study is efficiently compress geophysical seismic data. Seismic data represents amplitude values responses from the subsurface that can later be represented as an image. This data is obtained by generating sound waves on the surface and picking up the subsrface responses to these waves through geophones or any receivers aligned on the surface
