A new quantile mixture is suggested as a generalization of the normal - polynomial quantile mixture that defined by Karvanen (2006). A new approximate from for the standard normal quantile function is introduced. Approximate L - moments for the standard normal distribution are introduced as well as approximate L - moments, TL- moments and LQ - moments for approximate normal quantile mixtures
