The synthesis of oxime - derived palladium precatalyst from easily accessible inexpensive starting materials in excellent isolated yields is described. The pd - precatalyst is found to exhibit high catalytic activity for C - C bond formation in Suzuki - Miyaura and Heck- Mizoroki cross-coupling reactions of different aryl and heteroaryl halides with either aryl or heteroaryl boronic acids or terminal alkenes respectively
