WiMAX promise to deliver multimedia contents, that require assurances in terms of throughput and packet delay, among subscribers with different channel qualities. However, the IEEE 802. 16 standard does not define a mandatory scheduling algorithm. In this thesis, we proposed a new uplink scheduling algorithm, to be executed at the MAC layer of the WiMAX base station for real-time traffic communication
