Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Physics
In the present study the plasma is produced using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at the fundamental wavelength 1064 nm. The energy per pulse (670 mJ) and pulse duration is 6 ns FWHM. This corresponds to a power density of 5.6 x1010 W/cm2. The mission spectrum was recorded using SE 200 echelle spectrometer operation and is equipped with an ICCD camera
