The present work is concerned with the efficiency of heavy weight concrete as a shielding material in constructing nuclear installations as well as for radioactive wastes disposal facilities disposal facilities . In this context lead slag was used as a replacement for fine aggregates in heavy concrete shields that include heavy weight aggregates (namely ; barite and ilmenite) as well as normal concrete includes dolomite and sand as coarse and fine aggregates as a reference
