Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Inorganic Chemistry Summary: This work has been carried out to characterize the structure of metal complexes of la (No3)3 .6h2o2 , Nd(NO3)3 .6H2O and Er (NO3)3 . 6H2O with Schiff bases derived from condensation of ethylenediamine (I) trimethylenediamine (II) O- phenylenediamine (III) P- phenylenediamine (IV) and 2- aminopyridine (V) with 6- formy I- 7 hydroxy - 5 - methoxy - 2- methyibebzopyran - 4- 0ne (a) and 5,7 - dihydroxy - 6 - formy - methyibebzopyran- 4 - one (b) by using different techniques such as element analyses spectral measurements (IR, 1H - NMR, Uv - Vis) thermal analysis and conductometric measurements
