Extensive analysis of the x-ray scattering profiles of thirty six excised breast tissue samples has been performed. The analysis utilized a monte carlo simulation code in order to confirm the histopathological results, to obtain detailed information on the percentage constituents of breast tissue samples and to classify breast tissues into more specific groups depending on their composition
